ShenArt reports from Rome

On Sunday September 5th 2010, Stephane's exhibition, organised by Giorgia Calo (curator), opened at the Ermanno Tedeschi Gallery in Rome. Visitors discovered Stephane's portraits of personalities who marked the history of the State of Israel and his work on Tel Aviv's Bauhaus architecture. They could also enjoy the work of Roman artist Dan Rec's, portraits of citizens in the Jewish Ghetto in Rome and his drawings of the Big Synagogue in Rome. The works will be exhibited at the Gallery until December 2010. If you understand Italian, you could read this review. that was published in the "INSIDE ART".

We also invite you to watch the video that should give you a good impression of what happened that day that also marked the European Day of Jewish Culture in the jewish ghetto in Rome.

New Series: Rome

Even though his stay in Rome was really short - only 2 days - Stephane saw what he calls "No Ordinary Situations" and decided to catch them with his camera, just he does every day in Tel Aviv.

"It was my first time in Rome and in the Ghetto and the first time I have visited a place called the 'Jewish Ghetto' and somehow, when entering it, I felt right away at ease. So much history, beautiful architecture and so much alive."

But Stephane also saw the other side of that beauty. The images speak for themselves.
